Cgov Newsletter July

Despite our best efforts to keep this year’s Conference on schedule for September 14th – 16th, the uncertainty of extended travel restrictions and the recent appropriation of our Conference venue (QT) to be a dedicated quarantine facility, have forced us to take the decision to postpone the Cgov 2020 Conference until later in the financial year. We will be re-scheduling, however we will wait until there is more certainty regarding the COVID-19 restrictions to confirm a date with you in the upcoming months.

Cgov Newsletter March

Cgov is continuing to operate at full capacity and all our business continuity and work from home protocols are in place; with 85% of all staff now connecting online for work every morning. As at 27 March, we are maintaining a small presence in the Brisbane Office to answer the phone and provide direct access to our paper based records as they are needed.

Cgov Conference 2019 & Our 10 Year Anniversary

Australian University Grievance & Complaint Network Conference 2018

Cgov will be at the Australian University Grievance & Complaint Network Conference, held by QUT, UQ & Griffith University on the 27th & 28th September at QUT Gardens Point Campus, as a event sponsor.

Join us for a lively discussion on the challenges and progress in responding to grievances, complaints and student advocacy! This conference is ideal for student ombuds, deans of students, complaint managers, student advocates, and other interested national and international colleagues.

ARMS Conference 2018

Cgov will be attending the 19th Australasian Research Management Society Conference 2018, to be held in Hobart, Tasmania on the 18th – 21st September 2018.

The theme for the 2018 conference, Research Futures: Thinking long term in a world of short attention spans, aims to build discussion across all areas of research administration and management on how best to position and support research for future global and local needs, what infrastructure is needed to invest in now for the future, and how to ensure research creates an impact.

March 2018

As an upgrade to the Research Management Solution developed in 2017 we have now developed the additional business processes for Ethics Approval Management.  The new business processes deal with the specific requirements for Ethics Approval for Animal Ethics, Social Science and Medical and Health project ethics.
